Today has been a PJ kind of day...
Very rarely do we have days that we have nothing to do and no plans. Well today was one of those days. We had a late night last night, Miller had a ballgame, then we had dinner and playtime at our house with the Boyles family. Miller & Emma played and played and really missed their friends the last few weeks since we've been gone. So it was at least 10pm before the kids got into bed. Because we got into bed so late, we all slept in today. Em and I slept until 10am this morning- 10am! I actually woke up saw the clock, jumped out of bed, and ran to the cameras to make sure she was ok- haha! We haven't slept until 10am in forever!
Well when we finally got up we laid around on the couch for a while and then fixed Miller's favorite Cinnamon Rolls for Breakfast. We all sat at the table eating our cinnamon rolls trying to figure out something to do today. We, for once on a Saturday, had no plans. Saturdays are usually so busy around our house, but not today. Wes and I talked about several things to do today, some with the kids, some with just the two of us, and nothing really seemed to fit. We actually had a day with nothing to do.... so we decided that's just what we would do- nothing!
After Breakfast we all went out to the playroom and played. We put back together Miller's Train set table, we played dolls with Emma, we looked for "lost" toys. We had fun- lots of fun. We played and played until Wes looked up and it was 1pm! We were still in our Pajamas, had not done lunch, and it was getting towards nap time!
We decided to fix lunch and have a Carpet Picnic and watch a movie. Carpet Picnics are some of our favorite things to do on a rainy day like today. We spread out a blanket, make sandwiches, and have a fun picnic on the floor! Today we decided to add in a movie for the kiddos. The Easter bunny brought Emma the Tangled DVD and we have yet to watch it all. So I made lunch and Wes started the movie. We all sat in the floor in our PJ's, ate our lunch, and watched Tangled. Such a fun way to spend our Saturday- doing nothing- but having so much fun with our babies!!
